About Our Boards

Are your boards magnetic?

Yes. Every board is built with strong neodymium magnets, so it grips securely to fridges, dishwashers, and most other metal surfaces — no tools, no holes in the wall.

How strong are the magnets — will my board stay put on the fridge?

Very. We use neodymium (rare-earth) magnets rated to hold the board flush against a vertical metal surface, even with a few notes and a marker resting on the tray. If your surface isn't magnetic, the board also stands beautifully on a shelf or counter thanks to its rubber feet.

What is the writing surface made of, and won't it stain?

Our boards have a smooth acrylic, non-porous writing surface designed for clean erasing and minimal ghosting over time. Paired with the right marker (more on that below), writing wipes away cleanly and the surface keeps its crisp, modern finish.

Where are your products made?

Designed and made in Canada. We're based in Victoria, BC, and we're proud to keep our production close to home — it's how we keep a close eye on quality.

What colours and sizes do you offer?

Our boards come in a curated palette — Matcha, Linen, Seafoam, Vista, Ballet, Slate, Plum, and Coral — across formats for every corner of your home and office: notes, lists, weekly planners, habit trackers, and monthly calendars. You can shop by colour or browse our full collection.

What does "modular" mean for your boards?

Our boards are built in panels held together with standoffs, so they're designed to come apart for cleaning, storage, or a panel swap down the road — rather than being a single sealed piece. It's a small detail that makes the board easier to live with for years.

Can I use my board on a countertop or desk?

Definitely. Every board ships with rubber feet for grip and scratch protection, so it sits happily on any flat surface — desk, counter, or shelf.

Writing, Cleaning & Care

What markers should I use on my board?

Your board works beautifully with anydry-erase, wet-erase, or liquid chalk markermade for non-porous surfaces — so you've got plenty of options. If you want our honest favourite, reach for theStaedtler Lumocolor Correctable markers. We've tested a lot of pens, and these stand out.

Why do you recommend the Staedtler Correctable markers?

They're bold, quick-drying, and smudge-resistant, with rich colour that actually pops on the board. Best of all, the built-in eraser on the cap is a lifesaver for quick tweaks — perfect when you're updating a calendar or crossing off a list on the fly.

How do I clean my board?

A clean, dry microfibre cloth is all you need for a flawless finish. Please skip wet cloths — water can get trapped between the panels — and avoid anything abrasive that could scratch the surface. A quick dry wipe after writing keeps the board looking its best.

How do I take my board apart or replace a panel?

Your board is modular, so it comes apart easily. The standoffs simply unscrew —single-magnets release from the back, double-magnets from the front— and the front panel lifts out. Replacement fronts will be available on our website soon; if you need one sooner, just email us and we'll sort you out.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship from?

All orders ship from our home base in Victoria, BC, Canada.

How long until my order ships?

We aim to process and ship every order within 5 business days, though most go out within 1–3. As a small team, we work hard to get your board to you as quickly as we can.

How long will delivery take?

Within Canada, orders typically arrive 1–5 business days after they ship. Exact timing depends on your location. We ship with UPS, Purolator, and Canada Post for reliable delivery.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — enjoy free shipping when you spend $75 CAD / USD or more. (Free shipping isn't available for orders shipping to Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut — see below.)

Canadian orders that don't qualify for free shipping ship at a simple flat rate of $9.99 CAD. (Territories are an exception — see below.)

What about shipping to the territories (Yukon, NWT, Nunavut)?

For orders to the territories, we offer a flat-rate shipping fee of $25 CAD, or courier-calculated shipping at checkout. (Our standard free-shipping threshold doesn't apply to these regions.)

Do you ship to the United States?

Yes. US orders ship via UPS or Purolator. Please note they're sent DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid), which means any customs duties, taxes, or import fees charged on delivery are the recipient's responsibility. These vary by order value and are set by US Customs, so we're unable to estimate them in advance.

Do you ship internationally (outside Canada and the US)?

We'd love to help. If you're outside Canada or the US, reach out at hello@monkeyandpebbles.com or through our contact page and we'll put together shipping pricing for you.

Can I track my order?

Absolutely. You'll get a tracking link by email the moment your order ships.

Orders, Returns & Support

What is your return policy?

If your purchase isn't the right fit, eligible items can be returned for a refund within 30 days of your order date. A small flat-rate return shipping fee applies, and a few conditions help us keep things fair for a small business. You'll find all the details — eligibility, fees, and how to start a return — in our return policy.

How do I start a return?

Email us at hello@monkeyandpebbles.com with your order number (MP-XXXX), the item(s) you'd like to return, and the reason. Once approved, we'll email you a prepaid return label to print and affix over the original shipping label. Returns can go back via Canada Post, UPS, or Purolator.

When will I get my refund?

Once your return arrives, please allow up to 3 business days for us to process it, then another 3–5 business days for the funds to appear on your original payment method.

Refunds cover the item price and any sales tax on the item; original shipping fees and tax on shipping aren't refundable.

If there was ever a fulfillment error or a defective product, contact us and we'll make it right.

Do you offer exchanges?

We don't offer direct exchanges right now — handling returns and new orders separately lets us process everything accurately. If you'd like something different, simply return your original purchase and place a new order at monkeyandpebbles.com.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Yes — as long as your order hasn't shipped yet. If you forgot to add something or need to make a change, just shoot us an email at hello@monkeyandpebbles.com and we'll adjust it for you. Once an order has shipped, we're unfortunately no longer able to cancel or change it.

Do you sell gift cards?

We do. Our digital gift cards come in $25, $50, and $100 — perfect when you want to let someone choose their own planner or calendar. They're delivered by email, so there's no shipping wait.

Do you offer wholesale, custom, or corporate orders?

As a young company, our focus right now is the core collection you see on our website.
